Another late night painting session. Still using the Canson XL, cut to 5 x 5 pieces, my travel palette, which aside from the six colors I replaced the originals with (cerulean, ultramarine, mauve, burnt sienna, perylene green, and sepia), the only thing I know is I have a bright yellow, a red, a pinky red, an aqua, a mustardy yellow, and an olivey green.  The maker of the set (bought it in the scrapbooking section of Michael’s) gave the pigments silly non-artists watercolor names that I don’t remember.  I used my No 8 silver brush black velvet travel brush and a no 2 liner (rigger)

No pencil sketch/direct painting.  The bench scene was done in about 20 min. (And it shows!) I used the whole time for the rest of them. Definitely flaws in all of them, but I wasn’t going for perfection. Really enjoyed the challenge. Thanks, Martin! 🙂

Wow! These are all so impressive! I love them all! Seeing each other’s quick paintings I think helps us to see how to simplify and still come out with a beautiful little picture. You’ve done really well!

These are all amazing, Judy. Wow! I can’t say I like one more than the other. They are all beautiful and superbly done, especially in the time constraints! Well done!
